about me
i'm jenn — an artist-researcher with anomia working at the intersection of art and science in tkaronto. i'm developing an interdisciplinary art project that explores lush worlds of disabled speech, with the hopes of making meaningful impact for people who experience language dysfluency, and for people who want to learn to listen better. i'm also a researcher for a sexual health study and i am wrapping up my MA in social studies of neuroscience.
i'm looking for a reliable and organized development coordinator based in tkaronto.
the role
research: public grant and private funding, community partnerships, and press opportunities.
outreach: co-create outreach protocols. reach out to funders and community partners. set up pitch meetings.
writing + coordinating: co-write and co-coordinate grants, budgets, pitch decks, disability riders, visual story guides, and accessible social media captions.
general organizing: manage the project workback schedule, as well as grant pipeline and compliance.
nice to have, but not required:
content creation: co-create basic content strategy and execute short-form image and video content. provide metrics.
ideal candidate
3-5 years experience in grant research, budgeting, and writing in arts + culture.
responsible, reliable, and highly organized.
emotionally intelligent and comfortable working independently.
enthusiastic about the tkaronto arts scene.
takes initiative and cares about meaningful work.
tech savvy.
logistics
location: tkaronto, ontario.
schedule: monday–friday, 9:00am–2:00pm (flexible).
hours: 5 hrs/week, with an opportunity for additional hours nearing project activations.
equipment: cell phone, laptop, and reliable internet connection required.
languages: english (written and verbal). french (nice to have).
