Remember to Forget

Remember to Forget, a precursor to 26 or less, was an online research project about trouble with word-finding. It asked, what does memory sound like?

Part of answering this question involved one of the most common rituals of remembering, the act of repetition. And the distance we take it. Participants were asked to submit a personal audio recordings of the list of words below.

i can’t remember
i forgot
i am drawing a blank
it doesn’t come to mind
i am trying to find the word
vaguely
i don’t know
and you never forget where you are
forget it
before i forget
refresh my memory
if my memory serves me correctly
this will jog my memory
flashbulb memory
memory palace

Many thanks to participants for their contributions. Stay tuned for this next phase of this project here.
