A Taste

A Taste was a gastronomic adventure through the world of theatre. Food and drink were conceptualized through a variety of theatrical works and a projected film short, with acts accompanied by canapé-size bites and paired with wine.

The presentations in A Taste delved into complex relationships with food that go beyond the act of consumption. Among other morsels, the evening included the mounting of my short film, Lobster Man, featuring a sea creature’s foray into the world of mass-produced food, as well as Leg of Lamb, my stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Lamb to the Slaughter, where one woman’s dinner-table hospitality doubles as her chance to get away with murder.

I served as the artistic director throughout the production, which featured a number of theatrical works by fellow directors.
